Audrey offers assessment and counseling services to children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is provided through individual, couple, or family sessions. All clients receive a comprehensive clinical assessment at the onset of services to assist in treatment planning. After clients have successfully reached their goals Audrey will utilize discharge planning to equip clients with the needed resources to sustain the progress they made long after ending counseling services.
Many children can benefit from counseling services. School stress, developmental delays, family conflict, aggression, low self-esteem, and defiant behaviors are just a few of the struggles children and adolescents experience that can be addressed with counseling. Audrey has experience working with children of all ages. With knowledge of physical, behavioral, and mental development, Audrey is able to utilize developmentally appropriate interventions to promote positive emotional, social, and behavior change. Involvement from parents and caregivers is encouraged. Audrey works in coordination with parents and caregivers as part of treatment planning to decide the most appropriate course of care for your child. Audrey is also able to assist caregivers through parent only sessions which focus on equipping caregivers to deal more effectively with their child’s behavioral and emotional concerns.
Audrey offers individual services to help client address deal with life’s challenges and heal from past pain. Individual sessions give you the freedom to express your thoughts and feelings without worrying about being judged or upsetting someone. Audrey will provide insight and support while you make changes in the way you deal with other people in your life or how you react to situations. Through counseling Audrey will assist you in living a more balanced and fulfilled life.
Communication issues, jealousy, stress, adultery, and distrust are among a few of the issues that may plague a couple’s relationship. Unfortunately many couples suffer for years without getting help when real change is possible through counseling. Audrey works with both partners on their contributions to difficulties in the relationship and helps them work together to strengthen their partner relationship.
Families function as a system. Families are a set of relationships, responsibilities, and personalities that interact and can impact the development and behavior of each member of the family. Addressing the dynamics and interaction between family members, allows Audrey to help families develop the needed skills to improve communication and resolve conflict. While these strategies can be used to address short term conflicts, families will also learn to create a new family dynamic with families working as a functional team.
Services may be covered in full or part by your health insurance or employee benefit program. Audrey accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and Health Partners insurance. If you do not have insurance or your insurance does not provide mental health coverage, Audrey also practices at a private pay fee for service rate.
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
